Tips on preserving (saving the finish) cushman antiques?

I have a Cushman vanity and bench. My kids managed to scratch up the bench and wear the finish almost completely of the seat area. Does anyone have any advice to save/restore the remaining finish?
Cushman furniture is highly collectable and very sought after, so I would restore it if possible, but not refinish it.

First off, I would find out if it has real value. If it does, Formby makes a complete line of SAFE furnitue finishing items that don’t harm the original finish.

If it has no real value just sand and paint or stain.
