My rats are having some problems…?
I just got two young medium rats at PetCo 2 days ago (I know, not the best place to get rats but I felt bad for them and didn’t want to leave them there).
Both are females and seem to be having bowel trouble. Although one of them (tan) is relatively shy, the other (white) is very curious and friendly. But both of them have overly soft bowel movements and diarrhea. They are eating well and drinking a lot of fresh, filtered water but seem disinclined to play on the shelves, ladders and ropes we got them.
I’m worried and before I go to the vet figured I’d go here and see if some of it was normal because of the change of environment, stress, etc and if I was just worrying too much.

More than likely a change in food, but they could be sick or diseased too. Give it a day or two and if the problems don’t stop, then they are probably sick.
