Does Anyone Know This Poem?
I found this poem on my computer, and I’m not sure where it came from. It is an audio file with only a man’s voice and slight British accent, though I’m inclined to believe it’s more a “proper” American English.
“It sees them on the pedestals there in the dark
It wonders why they’ve set eating the stars
It wonders why they’ve drawn the shades so tight
And let loose with this cacophony
It wonders why they scream
It wonders did they eat the fishes
They swim the roundabout
Not pleasant
Not pleasant when they do that thing
They eat the stars from your eyes
And the things in the heavens that do not shine so bright
It wonders
Perhaps it knows”
The information I’m looking for is Who wrote this, What is the Title, is it from a movie, etc. Any and all information is greatly appreciated. I’ve already tried Google and Ask.com. Usually I’m pretty good with search engines, so I’m assuming this is rare…
