What is the best way to build my own dvd rack with little…?

How would I go about building a decent (not superb or anything) DVD rack for, say, 30 dvd’s with minimal carpentry or handy skills? I.e., with as few tools or fancy techniques as possible?

This is quite an easy job if you have the right tools. I assume that you wont have all the tools. So lets see. Choose dressed timber. For the sides and probable the top I would say use wood about 12 to 15 mm thick. The base should be at least 25mm thick. To make the grooves for the DVDs you can use strips of about 12mm square and glue and tack these on. Measure accurately. If you can cut grooves it will be much easier. Alternatively of you can buy the plastic moulds used by commercial DVD rack suppliers it would be best. The back cover can be made from 3mm MDF. I did not supply any dimensions as I assume you can calculate that yourselves.
