I need to know how to paint and glaze pine furniture, please.?

I have purchased an unpainted pine hutch for my breakfast room to be used with an antique oak table. I do not want the hutch to be too “new”. I need specifics on whether or not to prime, what kind of paint to use, and what brand or name of glaze product and how to use it. thanks to anyone who can help me.

first you can distress the pine (this can be fun ) you take a hammer and bang small dents in the pine you can hit it with the edge of the hammer head to leave small crescent dents sometimes you will even see a waffle mark from a framers hammer and some people put nuts and bolts in a sock and hit the surface this is called distressing go look at some furniture in a store to see what you might be looking to achieve well after you distress it you can paint or stain it
if you paint it paint a lighter background color and let it dry then get the glaze and mix it with a top color like a brown or a color to mach the oak finish mix like 4 parts glaze to 1 part paint stir and wipe it on and wait a min or 2 then wipe it off it should just fill in the low spots in the dents and groves and repeat till you have the amount of antiquing you are looking for have fun
