we are going to the US Virgin islands, How pricey is the bar scene?

Is it expensive to go to the bars on the USVI, How about dining ?

The bars here are very inexpensive. Most of the local watering holes you can pick up a nice rum and coke for $2-$3. At my favorite spot I get Heinekens for $2.50 and Jagermeister shots for $2. Pretty much everywhere you go that has a bar you can find something inexpensive on special. Watch out for the hotel bars though as they tend to charge a bit more. So do upscale restaurant bars.

Because of the high cost of importing food, dining is a bit more expensive…but that depends on where you go. If you’re looking for inexpensive bar food you can expect to pay a maximum of $15 per item (things like basket of wings, burgers, quesadillas, sandwiches, etc.). When you hit some of the finer restaurants (the ones with more ambiance and a wine list) you can expect to pay a bit more. I’ve linked some local restaurant websites so you can compare prices:
