With a dumbell set can I work my chest as well as my arms?

How long would it take until I started to see results??
Can I build my body up in general with a set of weights?

The thing is I’m relying my whole physique-build upon a pair of dumbbells. I haven’t joined any gym till now and it doesn’t seems before next year.
I exercise dumbbell-curls with it for my arms, wrist curls with dumbbels for my wrist and forearms, calf-raises for my calf with a dumbbell in a hand. (in this exercise actually i stand on a foot by keeping or inclining my other foot somewhere between the calf and ankle of the standing leg. I hold the dumbbell in the right hand when i stand on right leg. Then i slowly raise and stand on my toes for a half minute. I repeat it on both legs. Helped me a lot) press ups for my upper body and sit ups for my waist.
