ive got a very nasty ache in my neck and shoulder. its getting numbed these days, any way/s to relive it?

this ache has been going on for years, and yes, the condition has worsen. i get occasional headaches now, and the ache would travel down all the way to my back (where the bra line is)

the right side has more pain than ache, and recently, my shoulders get numbed. and i really meant you-cant-feel-a-thing kinda numbed. im rather worried and wanna understand how bad my condition is before those docs suck me dry.

also, ways to relieve my symptoms. i do not smoke, am constantly under pressure and stress cos im in the design industry, long hours on the pretty-to-look-at eames chair and i admit i have a lazy posture. but i always stretch myself every 45 – 80 mins. and ache relieve balm is nt wrkin too well on me anymore. (i dont take pain killers either. i dont like pills.)

many thanks in advance.

I agree with the above answers, but I’m biased since I’m a chiropractic intern. However, here is some things that it could possibly be (almost all can be helped by a good Chiropractor).

1) Nerve problems- Numbness and tingling is only caused due to nerve problems. The question becomes whetherr the nerve is local or in the spinal chord. If it is on both sides, you could have disc degeneration that is affecting the nerves.

2) muscle problems- Muscles that are tight can affect the nerves that are around them causing impingement. They can also cause headaches.

3) Join problems- Most likely the nerves and the muscles are compensating for a joint being out of alignment. Most likely it is one in your neck or at the base of your skull (where it attaches to the neck). I see patients all the time with symptoms like yours and in 80-90% of the cases, I can help them.

In very rare instances- it is something more serious that I can not handle. At which time- I will refer out to the proper medical professional.

Either way, a chiropractor will be able to look at the scenario and be able to make a diagnosis based upon physical exams and x-rays. Because the possible seriousness of this condition (numbness over an area), make sure the chiropractor is one who takes x-rays.

Good Luck with this.

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Eames Lounge Chair Wood is a chair designed by husband and wife team Charles and Ray Eames. The chair was designed using technology for molding plywood that the Eames developed before and during The Second World War. Before American involvement in the war, Charles and his friend, architect Eero Saarinen, entered a line of furniture into the Museum of Modern Arts Organic Furniture Competition in 1940, exploring the natural evolution of furniture in response to the rapidly changing world. Charles and Eero won the competition. However, production of the initially designed chairs was postponed due to production difficulties, and then by the United States entry into WWII. This interruption proved fortuitous to Charles. He began making molded plywood splints for the U.S. Air Force. The splints were modelled after his own leg and allowed him to hone the technique of molding the plywood into complex curves. The LCW was a result of this experience.
