I bought a memory foam bed, but it has springs?

Hi,
I just bought a new memory foam bed. I just noticed that under the memory foam there is also springs.
Should this be like this, I cant feel them at all on top but if I put my hand into the sides I can feel them. Considering the mattress alone was €1500 I want to make sure that there is nothing wrong with them?

Yes, the memory foam is normally just the mattress. The bed base will be sprung to cupport the mattress when it is in use.

Some mattresses are however sprung, but have a layer of memory foam on the top (1-2 inches think), with the memory foam acting as an extra comfort layer.

A Tempur mattress is supposed to be all memory foam which is why they are so expensive.
