Who would be an American Romantic Hero in this day?

I was just wondering who would be considered a romantic hero from the past three decades (80s to now) or so? Any examples that you can think of? Please give reasons for why, as well.

A few that I can think of are:

Lance Armstrong – Surviving cancer to win the world’s greatest cycling race a record 7 times to become one of the top athletes in history.

Oprah Winfrey would probably fit the term Romantic Hero.

The 1980 US Olympic Hockey Team sure fits the bill, as seen in the movie Miracle.
