will my health insurance cover an adjustable bed since I’m disabled and really need it?

I have failed back surgery, my spine is now straight, no curve, I’m in severe pain and in need of an adjustable bed. I tried one at banner mattress today, it will really help my pain. I have medicare & medi-cal the man said he heard insurances may cover part or maybe all. does anyone know any info? I now sleep on couch since mattress is so old with sink holes, I’m on social security, can’t afford to live, let alone a mattress, adjustable bed. anyone who knows how to get through red tape? or know if I can get one donated?

I would suggest looking into your plan because every plan can be slightly different in what they do and don’t cover. Most plans may not cover it, but your plan may so I could check into it. If your insurance does not cover it, I would suggest talking to the company who sells the beds and see if they would be willing to do a payment plan or something so that you could afford the bed. Since your mattress is so old even a new decent mattress may be better than having to buy a very pricey electric one. I don’t think that you could really get it donated, but you could certainly try. You could also try getting a used one at a less expensive price.
